Who is Pastor Jerry Bryant?

Allow me to introduce myself to you and share just a few things with you that might help you come to know who I am. I was born in a small rural area in Caldwell County which is in the Western area of North Carolina. I went to several elementary schools before we settled in the community of Whitnel, NC which I call my home town. I spent eleven years of my life in that community and I have many friends who still live there. I attended Hudson High School.

Prior to entering the pastorate, I worked in the furniture industry near Lenoir, NC. I served as plant manager at Brandon Furniture and was serving as plant manager of Fairfield Industries, Stratford, Ontario Canada when I yielded to the call of God to enter into the full-time ministry of the pastorate. I graduated from Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, NC; and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

I enjoy cooking, fishing, camping, and making country furniture. My taste in music varies for I enjoy many different styles.  I guess I would have to say that bluegrass and bluegrass gospel are high on my list of likes. I especially like the song, "If I Could Hear My Mother Pray Again," for that is something that I really wish I could do.

I became pastor of Bethlehem in June, 1985. I invite you to come and visit with us. I am sure you will enjoy our fellowship as much as I do. My wife, Judy and I live next door to the church. Drop in and visit with us sometime. We will give you a "Little Debbie" cake, some candy corn and a diet cola!
